EDinteractive and Salford Business School are proud to announce that their project Passport to Trade 2.0 atbusinessculture.org was announced as the winner of the best use of Search, Third Sector at the most prestigious search industry awards in Europe. The European Search Awards is an international competition that celebrates the very best in Search and Digital Marketing in Europe attracting hundreds of entries from the leading search and digital agencies and professionals from around the world.
Winning these awards further demonstrates EDinteractives expertise in digital marketing and Salford Business Schools continuing commitment to work with industry at the cutting edge of their game in their Year of the SME. 2014 sees Salford Business School celebrate the creative entrepreneurship of SMEs around the world and winning this top industry award illustrates our symbiotic relationship with companies around the world and the global digital economy.
Salford Business School led the Passport to Trade 2.0 project working with partners and organisations across Europe. The project was supported by the European Commission* and developed free online training materials to help European small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) & students seeking work & placements abroad. In order to reach this aim, research examining the latest needs of SMEs and student placements was conducted across 31 countries. The project researched and created business culture and social media guides with the use of text, audio, animation and video.
Dr. Aleksej Heinze from Salford Business School led the project and said, “A primary aim of the project was to disseminate these guides as far and wide as possible using a cost effective and sustainable approach. We put into practise the techniques that we teach, working with industry and the results exceeded all of our expectations.”
Alex Fenton of EDinteractive and Salford Business School was the lead technical developer on the project and said: “As course leader for our Search and Social Media Marketing CPD short course, it is vital that we can practice what we preach. We launched the site just a few short months ago and using organic, sustainable search optimisation and content marketing techniques, the materialsare being used by over 1500 visitors per day and it is growing steadily. Our partners and collaborators have worked really hard on a budget and achieved incredible results. We have to extend our thanks to everyone involved and the excellent judging panel for recognising our project.”
The awards ceremony took place on 28 March in a glittering ceremony at the Grand Hotel Reykjavik 2014. Drop us a line or share this article below if you would like to talk to us about Passport to Trade 2.0 or the European Search awards.
